“Berlin Blue” is a name that goes back to the special cobalt blue used in Berlin for porcelain and other art objects in the 18th and 19th centuries. This particular cobalt blue was produced in Berlin and had a deep, rich colour that became characteristic of the city, its art and its culture. Over time, “Berlin Blue” found its way into other fields where the colour was used, such as fashion and design. We use “Berlin Blue” for two wool jackets to emphasise Ben Weide’s special connection to Berlin.
Like its brother the Suiddy, this jacket is a heavy winter edition of the Sacket: it is made from 100% virgin wool loden. The fine loden is woven in Germany’s oldest cloth mill, with more than 350 years of experience, and finished especially for Ben Weide. This gives the pieces special water-repellent and windproof properties. The fabrics can withstand rain for up to half an hour – enough to get through a shower without rain protection. The titanium zips are hand-polished and very robust.
This Sacket is part of our limited collection and is made in a limited run of 20 pieces, making it a special and exclusive garment. Whether you wear it with a casual outfit of jeans and sneakers or with a stylish combination of chinos and a shirt, this Sacket can become a favourite part of your wardrobe.
Please note when choosing your size that this jacket runs small. Because of the thickness of the fabric, we recommend ordering one size larger than you normally wear.
